Phonics & Literacy Awareness Programme

Words are comprised of different sounds. When we read and write, we identify and assemble letter sounds into words that we can understand. This allows us to decode words such that we are able to comprehend their meaning. As such, Phonics form a fundamental aspect of learning the English language. These fundamentals essentially form the building blocks of learning how to read and write.

The Phonics & Literacy Awareness Programme offers a progressive and comprehensive curriculum that covers the fundamentals of phonics and literacy skills. Students are encouraged to explore, question and discover while gaining awareness regarding the nuances involved in phonics, reading and writing.

It is important to us that our young learners develop an interest in reading and writing from an early age as this will set them up to enjoy and love learning later on as they grow.
